RICHMOND, MICHIGAN. The City of Richmond has Issued mandatory water restrictions for the entire city effective immediately until further notice. The following water restrictions shall be observed by all residents:

* Persons residing north of Division Road (32 Mile Road) shall only water on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays between the hours of 8:00 PM to 12:00 Midnight. No watering of lawns shall be permitted during any other hours or on Saturdays.

* Persons residing south of Division Road (32 Mile Road) shall only water lawns on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:00 PM to 12:00 Midnight. No watering of lawns shall be permitted during any other hours or on Saturdays.

* Richmond Police Department will patrol all areas and will issue tickets to violators of these water restrictions. The Department of Public Works may also shut off water service to any properties found to be in violation and a fee may be charged to turn on water service.

Residents with lawn sprinkling systems on timers should reset the timers accordingly or disable the timers completely.
