The Richmond Community Theatre will present a musical revue
production of "Sweet & Hot", a musical production by Harold Arlen.
Performances are Sept. 8-11 and 16-18.
Performances are at 8pm, with the exception of a 2pm matinee on September
18th. The performance will be held at the historical Richmond Center for the
Performing Arts located at 69619 Parker Street at Churchill Street, 4 blocks
North of 32 Mile Road in Richmond.
This razzmatazz high-energy revue celebrates the songs of one of America's
greatest composers, Harold Arlen. Among the selections included are: "Stormy
Weather", "Get Happy", "It's Only A Paper Moon", and "Somewhere Over The
Rainbow".
The settings suggest a 1930's jazz club, a Coney Island pier and a Caribbean
port.
Director, Chris Oakley, along with vocal director, Tamara Lehew Whitty have
put together a dynamic and talented cast that is sure to take its audience
back to a simpler time with an this evening of reminiscing. The cast
includes the talents of Delores Basile, Louis Canter, Michelle Marszalkowski,
Christopher D. Oakley , Laura Verbeek, and Tom Woodman of Richmond.
"Sweet and Hot" marks the 100th birthday celebration of the legendary Harold
Arlen, and is the first 2005-2006 production to be performed at the Richmond
Center for the Performing Arts.

Seniors)
