Michigan Senator Sanborn Inspects Richmond Auto Dealership

Dick Huvaere of Richmond Chrysler, and Senator Alan Sanborn
June 25, 2002
Richmond, MI
- Senator Alan Sanborn visited Richmond Chrysler/Dodge/Kia, located in
Richmond Michigan, as part of his ongoing efforts to improve the knowledge
between the Legislature and Auto Dealerships in general. The Auto Dealers of
Michigan have implemented a program entitled “Dealership Day in the
District” in which Michigan Legislators are invited to tour dealerships and
meet with dealers, their employees & customers.
Senator Sanborn was the first to
partake in these meetings in order to garner a better understanding of the
retail automotive business. Dick Huvaere, President and CEO of Richmond
Chrysler/Dodge/Kia, was “extremely pleased” with the results of his meeting
with the Senator. Says Mr. Huvaere; “This was a tremendous opportunity for
auto dealers, and the government, to have a better understanding of each
others priorities now that Senator Sanborn has seen how much goes on behind
the scenes to process just one vehicle sale.” Future meetings are scheduled
to introduce other legislators to the joint legislative effort of the
Michigan Auto Dealers Association (MADA) and the Detroit Auto Dealers
Association (DADA), and to educate them as to the dealer’s community
efforts.
Richmond
Chrysler/Dodge/Kia has over 25 years of service to the community and employs
more than 100 local Richmond residents.
