Businesses that make a tax-deductible donation valued at $75 or more will receive 2 free tickets to the performance of their choice.
This special fundraising SILENT AUCTION features a 50/50 RAFFLE and a cash DESSERT BAR. The auction will begin at 6 p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. performance. All fundraiser profits will be used to benefit theatre operations.
Following the silent auction, audiences are in for a wonderful treat with the Neil Simon classic,“The Odd Couple”. It follows the story of Oscar Madison, a recently separated sports writer who lives in a filthy apartment on New York’s Riverside Drive. When Oscar’s friend, Felix Unger, also finds himself single, the two decide to move in together. Hilarity ensues as Felix and Oscar are quite possibly the most mismatched pair ever to live under one roof.
Director, Bill Beaudry (of Clinton Twp.), has found his own talented Oscar and Felix in local seasoned actors Chris Mallory (of Sterling Hts.) and Ken Kelley (of Clinton Twp.). As their poker-playing buddies, the performance highlights Jason Applegate (Richmond H.S. Drama teacher and Port Huron resident), Doug Garden (of Marine City), Scott Joseph (of Fair Haven), and Mark Badley (of Rochester). The show also features Kaaren Holt (of Lenox) and Tami Olafson (of Columbus Twp.) as the ever-silly Pidgeon sisters. Please join them in this hilarious revival of this beloved comedy classic.
This production will be held at the historical Richmond Center for the Performing Arts located at 69619 Parker Street at Churchill Street, 4 blocks North of 32 Mile Road in Richmond. Ticket prices for these fundraising performances are $15 each (no discounts offered) and can be ordered by calling (586) 727-9518. RCT accepts Visa and Mastercard payments.
