The Richmond Community Theatre presents the world's longest-running stage production, celebrating 50 years of suspense, murder and whodunit with Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap”. Performances are February 17-19 and 24-26. Friday and Saturday performances are at 8pm, with 2pm matinees on Sundays.

Director, Mark Layher, has put together a mysteriously suspicious cast that is sure to have audience members on the edge of their seats! In her own inimitable style, playwright Agatha Christie has created an atmosphere of shuddering suspense and a brilliantly intricate plot where murder lurks around every corner.

A group of strangers is stranded in a boarding house during a snow storm - one of whom is a murderer. The suspects include the newly married couple who run the house (Megan Applegate of Port Huron and Chris Mallory of Sterling Hts.), an architect who seems better equipped to be a chef (Mark Badley of Rochester), a retired Army major (Rick Cohen of Algonac), a spinster with a curious background (Tami Olafson of Columbus Twp.), a strange little man who claims his car has overturned in a drift (Ken Kelley of Clinton Twp.), and a jurist who makes life miserable for everyone (Sandy Heiden of Columbus Twp.). Into their midst comes a policeman (Scott Joseph of Fair Haven) traveling on skis. He no sooner arrives, than someone is killed! The policeman probes at each person in the house and rattles a lot of skeletons….and another famous Agatha Christie finish!

This production will be held at the historical Richmond Center for the Performing Arts located at 69619 Parker Street at Churchill Street, 4 blocks North of 32 Mile Road in Richmond. Reserved seating ticket prices are $10 ($8 for Students and Seniors) and can be ordered by calling (586) 727-9518. RCT accepts Visa and Mastercard payments.
