NEW MEETING PLACE Our meetings will be held at Crockett’s Country Inn located at
8826 Gratiot in Columbus Township. It takes about 10 minutes from downtown
Richmond. We have a separate room there where we can grow, have inter clubs, and
invite speakers. The food has been good. Hope that you will join us there soon.
DISTRICT CONVENTION On August 15-18, at the district convention, the governor
has asked for us to help support the Kiwanis of Michigan Foundation Project
Hospitals—C.S. Mott Children’s Hospitals, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Mary
Free Bed Hospital, and Northern Michigan Hospital. We are asked to bring our
donations to the District Convention. This is a list of the needs.

BOWL-A-THON On August 9 at 8:00 P.M. at Shelby Lanes, there will be a
bowl-a-thon for adults only. Contact Bev if you are interested in attending.
K-KIDS We are considering having an after school program in the elementary
school. If you have any input, contact Lisa.
APPLE PIE SALE November 2 or 9 are possible dates for our sale this year. We
need to have a place with lots of tables and some big pots we could use. We do
not cook the pies. Any comments, contact Bev or John.
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
Your focus is, I believe, a kind of spiritual vocation, a sense of what you are
called to do.
