CLUB PRESIDENT EXCHANGE On Wednesday, June 5, John will be presiding over the Romeo club meeting at 12:00. He would like to take an inter club. Lisa, Sharon Blewett, and Bev plan to meet at Power Equipment at 11:30. If others can go, please meet there.
One June 6, Denis LeDuc will preside over our club. There will be an inter club here from Romeo on that day.

LEE HILLIS visited our club on Thursday. With John Hertel withdrawing as County Commissioner, he has decided to run for his seat as an independent candidate. He was in the military, worked at Ford, worked in real estate, and got a law degree in 1990. He is involved with the well and septic plans, as well as the clean water action. He has kept abreast of county politics. His sense is that growth is associated with many of the problems that are being experienced with water and roads. He was a member of Kiwanis for 20 years.

BICYCLE HELMETS Our club gave 297 helmets away on May 18. There will be 20 more given for rain checks, totaling 317 helmets. Since the weather was not really warm, that was pretty good. We have away more than we originally estimated. Thanks to our community partners and to all who came.

WEDDING CONGRATULATIONS One of our newest members, Dwight Thabet, is being married on Saturday, June 1 to Elizabeth. We wish them the very best.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
The prospects never looked brighter.
The problems never looked tougher.
And those who are not stirred by
both of those statements are probably
too tired to be of much use in the years ahead.
