KIWANIS CLUB OF RICHMOND
MINUTES
February 5th, 2004
The Kiwanis Club of Richmond met at Richmond Police Post. The meeting was
called to order by Jason Verlinde at 12:06. We shared the pledge of
allegiance to the flag. Sharon shared an opening prayer. We started with our
meal provided by Richmond Community Schools.
Members present were: John Hiller, Jason Verlinde, Sharon Hiller, Rebecca
Jagoda, and Dennis Privette. Our guest was Reed Swanson.
Sharon is planning a reading night at Lee Elementary for March 3rd, 2004.
She is in need of readers. Jason V and Becky have volunteered but she could
use more. Please email her if you are available.
Last week we had a complete no-show at our meeting. Please make an effort to
attend. The food and company is great and you have already paid for your
lunch.
Dennis is still working on the free throw contest. Shooting for a March 04
date.
Dennis and Patrick are working on interviewing potential candidates for us
to send to police academy.
Great news! Traffic Safety has committed to donating 100 helmets for our
bike safety day.
The meeting adjourned at 12:55 P.M.
