KIWANIS CLUB OF RICHMOND
MINUTES
January 22, 2004

The Kiwanis Club of Richmond met at Richmond Police Post. The meeting was called to order by Jason Rewalt at 12:06. We shared the pledge of allegiance to the flag. Jason also shared an opening prayer. We started with our meal provided by Richmond Community Schools.

Members present were: John Hiller, Jason Verlinde, Sharon Hiller, Lisa Nolff, , Rebecca Jagoda, Jason Rewalt, and Dennis Privette. Our guests were Jim Ullrich, John McGinn, Bob Cauto, and Bob Bandy all from the Mt. Clemens Club and Frank Birdwell, our lieutenant governor.

After everybody introduced themselves the Mt. Clemens club discussed a little bit of what their club was up to. Some of the things they are doing are as follows:

· Membership Drive and Special Guest Day.
· Pancake Breakfast
· Picnic at Selfridge Air National Guard and Museum Tour (will invite all clubs)

Jason Rewalt then discussed what our club has been up to.

Jason Verlinde reported that our club was selected for first place in the coral division for our single service project (bicycle rodeo). We should be proud that our project was considered the best in the state for clubs our size!! Our club will now be going up against other clubs our size for an international award.

Frank Birdwell then took the floor to update us on things happening in our division. Things happening are as follows:

· Lanse Cruse club has been dissolved.
· New club starting in Caro plan to charter at around 31 members. Once started we should try to interclub with them to show our support.
· Growth seminar will be held on February 7th at Fern Hill

Dates need to be firmed up for the following events of our club:
· Free Throw Contest (Patrick and Denny)
· Bowl-a-Thon (Bev)
· Medi lodge bingo (Jason R)

The meeting adjourned at 12:55 P.M.

Respectfully submitted,
Jason Verlinde
