ARE YOU READY TO MAKE MORE APPLE PIE? We will be discussing plans for Winter Fest. At the moment, we have 12 pies in Jason Rewalt’s freezer. How many do you think we could sell?

VISITS TO OTHER CLUBS During November, our president, Bev DeVriendt went to Romeo on November 20 and Utica on November 21 to deliver pies. We also had our meeting with Romeo on November 27 since this was the week of Thanksgiving. Three people attended. We heard about the new transitional house in the village of Romeo that is being set up for one homeless family with children.

KIWANIS CHRISTMAS PARTY Bev DeVriendt, Verlindes, and Hillers gathered on December 13 to share a time of food and fellowship. Thanks for sharing in this potluck dinner. Our big treat of the night was being entertained by Noah Verlinde, Jason and Jennifer’s baby. What a cutie!

SHOP WITH A COP We gave $500 toward this effort. John Hiller and Dennis Privette spent the morning on December 21 with many officers from around the area helping 30 children shop for Christmas at K-Mart.

MEMBERSHIP CAMPAIGN will be getting underway shortly. Please think about people you would like to have in our club. Be prepared to help go into the community to talk with others about Kiwanis.

COMMITTEES We will be taking time during our meetings to have committee meetings for 1) Community Services, 2) Youth Services, 3) Human and Spiritual Values, and 4) Young Children Priority One. Share your ideas!

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
Children must have at least one person who believes in them. It could be a counselor, a teacher, a preacher, a friend. It could be you. You never know when a little love, a little support, will plant a small seed of hope. -Unknown
