Richmond Historical Society Dinner
The Richmond Area Historical and Genealogical Society
will be having its Annual Dinner on Wednesday,
December 3, 2003 at the Trinity Lutheran Church (35110
Division, Richmond) with a 6:00 p.m. catered dinner
from Achatz Catering. RESERVATION ARE REQUIRED for

MI 48062). Geoff Hoerauf will speak on Coming to
Michigan: Life in Michigan during the 1830's Land
Rush. This program is done in a first person
interpretation to describe daily life and customs in
1830?s Michigan. He covers such topics as arrival of
emigrants to Michigan, farming and business practices,
descriptions of Detroit and the surrounding area,
period customs and traditions, regional tales and
stories, and recounting of the Toledo and Patriot's
wars. This program is open to the public.
