The Richmond Area Historical and Genealogical Society
will be participating in Log Cabin Day on Sunday, June 29th from 10:00 a.m.
until 6:00 p.m. at Bailey Park (corner of Beebe St. and Park St.). The fur
trade era will be depicted with on going demonstrations of:
Story telling, candle dipping, spinning, knife & hawk,
carving, cooking, traders, and other events. This event is open to the
public. For more information call 727-7125 or 727-3001 or Al Collins at
586-727-7125. He is the one coordinating the event and is one doing some of
the demonstrations. Al is a Trustee on the Richmond Area Historical and
Genealogical Society board and designed the layout of the buildings and
landscaping at the historical section of Bailey Park.
