The City of Richmond held
a Groundbreaking for the new
Richmond Community Center Tuesday, May 4, 2004
Construction is scheduled
to begin May 15 and be completed by September 15.
The cost of the project is $365,405.
The Tax Increment Finance
Authority will front the money for the project. The City of Richmond will
lease/purchase the building back using Community Development Block Grant
over the next 14 years.
The building will have
an occupancy of approximately 150 people. The
primary use of the center is to provide senior programming for the
community.
