At the end of September, 2001, following the direction of our then Detroit Auto
Dealers Association (DADA) President Bill Demmer and Executive Committee, DADA
was proud to institute the "DADA 911 Relief Fund" through the Community
Foundation for Southeastern Michigan. As each contribution arrived at our
office, we were deeply moved by the outstanding support of our members.
The culmination of this effort was a contribution of $225,685 to the New York
Community Trust earlier this year, where the money was specifically designated
for the families throughout the country who were touched by the tragedy in both
New York and Washington, DC.
We want to personally thank Richmond Chrysler-Plymouth-Dodge's and its
employees' donation of $1,000. We feel your contribution to aid the people who
were most tragically affected September 11, 2001 is truly inspirational and
demonstrates an immeasurable compassion.
