Centennial Building Foundation
The Centennial Building Foundation is ringing in the Holiday Season
with a new adaptation of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. This
dinner theatre production will be held at Maniaci's Banquet Hall in
Richmond over Thanksgiving weekend, with 3 performances November 24th,
25th, and 26th.
The Centennial Building Foundation presents this performance with a
focus on improvements to the Richmond Community Theatre. In an effort
to raise funds to support this historical site, the CBF has accepted
the enormous task of installing a handicap lift and a barrier-free
restroom, making the theatre available to all who wish to attend the
myriad of excellent shows and events that take place there.
Much of the ground work for this project has been completed;
architectural drawings have been created, consultations with the
National Historical Commission have been held, requirements of the
Americans with Disabilities Act have been met and City of Richmond
ordinances, sewer and water guidelines have been satisfied.
That, of course, leaves financing. CBF members have been working
closely with Macomb County in hopes of receiving a sizeable portion of
the money in the form of grants. Much effort has already been made,
but plenty still lies ahead. There are still many objectives to be
met. The CBF is confident this worthwhile project will be
accomplished, and would appreciate any help and suggestions you might
have.
Call today and reserve your tickets to join in the Holiday Spirit and
support the CBF in its efforts to improve the Richmond Community
Theatre. Tickets are available by reservation only, $28.00 for
adults-$14.00 for children 12 years and under. Nov. 24-25
performances: Doors open at 6pm, dinner at 7pm, show starts at 8pm.
Nov. 26, Sunday performance: Doors open at 4pm, dinner at 5pm, and
show starts at 6pm. Please call (586) 727-9727 for information /
